Be Thankful

Be Thankful – the first thing you should do when you wake up in the morning.  Before you get out of bed.  You wake up, you are thinking, therefore you are alive.  Give thanks for the day ahead of you.  Savor the potential that lies in front of you.

Be Thankful for all your blessings you woke up to:

Level 1 Blessings – your present health

Level 2 Blessing – the fact you have shelter

Level 3 Blessings – the fact that you have food in the fridge, HVAC, indoor plumbing.

Level 4 Blessings – the fact that you live in a society where you can express yourself, you have money in your pocket, and perhaps even that you have someone you love or even someone who loves you.

These 4 blessings you should be thankful for, put you ahead of 99% of all humans ever born and in the top 10% of all humans currently alive.

Be Thankful for those whose lives created the foundation you stand upon every day.  Most of them you have never known and cannot name.  The person who invented the wheel, electricity, transistors, cement, the printing press, etc.  And then there are those who have sustained you, nourished you, molded you into the person you are today.  Be thankful.  Think about calling one of them up and saying thank you, or telling them that you love them.

Be thankful for the people who are in your life today.

Be thankful for the opportunity you have today to make the world and yourself better.

At the end of today take inventory of what you made of the day.  If you are happy with the results, then rinse and repeat tomorrow.  If you are not happy with the results, make a plan and put it into effect tomorrow to win the day.

There are no rewind buttons on time.

Each day is a gift.

Make sure you take advantage of it.

Being thankful every morning when you wake is a good way to make that happen.

Wishes for a Great day to all,

Hugs too – and love,

David/

Return to Your Babyhood Remember the good old days when you were a baby? When you never gave up, regardless of how many times you failed. What happened to those good old days? When you were learning how to walk, you fell down each and every time. On average 17 times per hour. Hundreds if not thousands of times. And what did you do? You got back up. Each and every time. No questions asked. Never taking failure as your final answer. And then, you succeeded. You never doubted yourself. You never overthought things. You never got in your way. If you are now doing these things, preventing yourself from succeeding, getting in your own way, doubting yourself, overthinking things, stop. You can do it. You have done it before. When you had far less capabilities and knowledge and support. Wishes for another great day, each one a gift, David/

Failure or Revelation? You never fail at anything, and that is the truth. What you are doing is revealing to yourself an area of improvement. It is important to realize this, because if you are not failing at something, you are not challenging yourself adequately. And if you are not challenging yourself, how do you make yourself a better person tomorrow than you are today? So please, fail at something often. Be a better person each and every day, because, Each day is a gift, David/
