A quick recap of the first three levels of blessing that we wake up with:

  1. Body
  2. Shelter
  3. Food

Being able to check all if not most of the boxes on the first three levels of blessings  already places you in rarified air.  Lotto ticket territory.

Here are your Level Four Blessings:

America. Being a United States citizen, residing here, being able to enjoy the blessings of our representative democracy, of our Constitution is a gift. To appreciate it even a little bit, imagine that you are a citizen or reside in for example China.  Or perhaps North Korea, or Iran, or Venezuela. There are a lot more places you do not want to call “home”. There are very few that offer you the full menu of liberties, freedoms, and self-determinations that you get to choose from here in the United States of America.

Money: Having money in your pocket, or even in the bank. Being able to exchange it to obtain goods and services that others produce or provide for you. Things you need or even just want. The odds are you have some

Love - Being cared about: Having someone or multiple people in your life that care about you or even love you. A spouse, sibling, parent, friend - some other human being that knows all about you and still cares about you. The odds are you have at least one.

Pay attention. Realize all the blessings you are witness to, that you enjoy every single day when you wake up.  And if, during the day any reason presents itself for you to worry about or provokes anxiety from within you – double back to all the blessings you have.  Imagine a life without them. Imagine how much better you are able to handle them now with the resources you have in place.

We take for granted things that the overwhelming majority of humans do not have – that would trade places with us in a heartbeat, every heartbeat for.

Lastly, at night, before you go to sleep, count them again.

It is my hope that you have many days, enjoying the blessings of them all, and using them to their fullest extent – making your life and the lives of others around as great as possible.

Return to Your Babyhood Remember the good old days when you were a baby? When you never gave up, regardless of how many times you failed. What happened to those good old days? When you were learning how to walk, you fell down each and every time. On average 17 times per hour. Hundreds if not thousands of times. And what did you do? You got back up. Each and every time. No questions asked. Never taking failure as your final answer. And then, you succeeded. You never doubted yourself. You never overthought things. You never got in your way. If you are now doing these things, preventing yourself from succeeding, getting in your own way, doubting yourself, overthinking things, stop. You can do it. You have done it before. When you had far less capabilities and knowledge and support. Wishes for another great day, each one a gift, David/

Failure or Revelation? You never fail at anything, and that is the truth. What you are doing is revealing to yourself an area of improvement. It is important to realize this, because if you are not failing at something, you are not challenging yourself adequately. And if you are not challenging yourself, how do you make yourself a better person tomorrow than you are today? So please, fail at something often. Be a better person each and every day, because, Each day is a gift, David/
