Answer: No

Question: Do you have faith in God?

Reason:  I don’t have faith in God, because faith is defined as spiritual apprehension rather than proof.

Answer: Yes

Question: Do you believe in God?

I have enough reasonable evidence to believe in God and hence there is no need to have “faith” in God.

Sidebar:  The thought that humans are the highest rung on life’s ladder is impossible for me to wrap my head around.  It in fact creates waves of nausea for me.  Suppose humans are the greatest form of life - that humans are capable of deciding right from wrong, good from bad, acceptable from unacceptable.  We all have proof, and some of it in color, that according to some humans, other humans are not worthy of basic human rights.  The right to life, the right to self-determination.  Some humans are responsible for the greatest of evil deeds - real genocide in fact.

Additionally, a belief in God creates a moral obligation to do good.  You accept the burden of answering to a “higher authority”, a higher rung on the ladder than the one we stand upon.

Wishes for a great day, each one a gift

Hugs too,

Return to Your Babyhood Remember the good old days when you were a baby? When you never gave up, regardless of how many times you failed. What happened to those good old days? When you were learning how to walk, you fell down each and every time. On average 17 times per hour. Hundreds if not thousands of times. And what did you do? You got back up. Each and every time. No questions asked. Never taking failure as your final answer. And then, you succeeded. You never doubted yourself. You never overthought things. You never got in your way. If you are now doing these things, preventing yourself from succeeding, getting in your own way, doubting yourself, overthinking things, stop. You can do it. You have done it before. When you had far less capabilities and knowledge and support. Wishes for another great day, each one a gift, David/

Failure or Revelation? You never fail at anything, and that is the truth. What you are doing is revealing to yourself an area of improvement. It is important to realize this, because if you are not failing at something, you are not challenging yourself adequately. And if you are not challenging yourself, how do you make yourself a better person tomorrow than you are today? So please, fail at something often. Be a better person each and every day, because, Each day is a gift, David/
