Be Appreciative

You can only be appreciative if your life is connected to a purpose.

The gift that today is, is a gift wrapped box with a bow on top.  What is inside that box you are wondering?  And this is the magic of being human and alive.  You get to choose what is in that box, and do so every day.

In case you are wondering what is in my box, first you must know that I am greedy.  I always have more than one gift box waiting for me to open every day.  Why settle on one when you can have many.  Ex: the genie pops out of the magic lamp and says to you that you have one wish to make, and it can be for anything.  What do you wish for?  Me, my response is unlimited wishes.

Here are some of my daily boxes – and please realize that I don’t open them all at once or even all of them every day:

The box of being able to tell people I care about a lot that I love them.

The box of learning a new language (Hebrew) which I open twice a week.

The box of being able to be a better husband, son, father, brother, physician.

The box of being able to help others.

The box of being able to be a better cook.

The box of being able to be a better Jew.

The box of being asked to have a grandchild or two sleep over the house.

The box of being able to speak to my parents.

The box of people trusting me, asking for my advice.

The box of waking up, and recognizing all the gifts that surround me.

The box of being loved.

The sins not having or opening the box.  There are few things worse than not having a gift box to open, or not opening it/them.

When you open your daily box(es), life becomes appreciable.  It warms your heart, drives your soul, guides you on a beautiful path.

Praying that your life’s pathway is bright and beautiful and meaningful.

Wishes for a great day to all,

Hugs too,

David/

Return to Your Babyhood Remember the good old days when you were a baby? When you never gave up, regardless of how many times you failed. What happened to those good old days? When you were learning how to walk, you fell down each and every time. On average 17 times per hour. Hundreds if not thousands of times. And what did you do? You got back up. Each and every time. No questions asked. Never taking failure as your final answer. And then, you succeeded. You never doubted yourself. You never overthought things. You never got in your way. If you are now doing these things, preventing yourself from succeeding, getting in your own way, doubting yourself, overthinking things, stop. You can do it. You have done it before. When you had far less capabilities and knowledge and support. Wishes for another great day, each one a gift, David/

Failure or Revelation? You never fail at anything, and that is the truth. What you are doing is revealing to yourself an area of improvement. It is important to realize this, because if you are not failing at something, you are not challenging yourself adequately. And if you are not challenging yourself, how do you make yourself a better person tomorrow than you are today? So please, fail at something often. Be a better person each and every day, because, Each day is a gift, David/
