Everybody wants to be important, including you.

The best way to succeed at being important is to create importance in others, first.

Make the person you are speaking to, emailing, texting feel as though they are the most important person to you right then and there.  And if they are not, why are you allocating your scarcest resource to them - your physical and emotional and intellectual time?
