Teacher/Advisor

ALWAYS have one. If you don’t currently, get one. There should never be a moment in life when you do not have one at the beckon call.

The same way you have a dentist to take care of your teeth, a doctor to take care of your health, an accountant to take care of your taxes, you need a person who can take care of you. Your questions. Your actions. Your decisions. A person who can help guide you personally.

In my profession it is said that a doctor who takes care of themselves has a fool for a patient. A person who does not have a teacher or an advisor will never develop into the best person they can be.

As complicated as your health is, your life is that much more complicated. Always have one person who you put your faith in that can help guide you, answer your questions and if they can’t, can point you towards the answer.

And there will be times where that person’s advice or teaching was less than perfect. It is still important to have outside counsel. They should make you think more robustly, be more objective, more exploratory. They will help guide you,

help you grow. Help keep you honest.

And it’s ok to go up to that person who you choose to be your teacher/advisor and ask them if they are willing to perform that function for you. Wishes for a great and highly productive day to all,

And of course, hugs too.

Return to Your Babyhood Remember the good old days when you were a baby? When you never gave up, regardless of how many times you failed. What happened to those good old days? When you were learning how to walk, you fell down each and every time. On average 17 times per hour. Hundreds if not thousands of times. And what did you do? You got back up. Each and every time. No questions asked. Never taking failure as your final answer. And then, you succeeded. You never doubted yourself. You never overthought things. You never got in your way. If you are now doing these things, preventing yourself from succeeding, getting in your own way, doubting yourself, overthinking things, stop. You can do it. You have done it before. When you had far less capabilities and knowledge and support. Wishes for another great day, each one a gift, David/

Failure or Revelation? You never fail at anything, and that is the truth. What you are doing is revealing to yourself an area of improvement. It is important to realize this, because if you are not failing at something, you are not challenging yourself adequately. And if you are not challenging yourself, how do you make yourself a better person tomorrow than you are today? So please, fail at something often. Be a better person each and every day, because, Each day is a gift, David/
