Sugar

Simple, don’t eat any.  And while you are at it, stay away from complex carbohydrates too.  Complex carbs have sugar as a component of their molecular structure.

You are wondering how much sugar is circulating in your body right now.  The answer is about 2.4 grams.  That is equal to half a teaspoon full, or one sugar cube, or 0.08 ounces.  That amount gives you a normal blood sugar level, which is about 80, and an A1C of 4.7.

Now you are wondering how much sugar do I need circulating in my body to be a diabetic?  The answer is 3.4 grams.  That is how tightly the body regulates sugar.  All you need is another quarter of a teaspoon full, or half a cube of sugar or 0.04oz to become a diabetic.  That gives you a blood sugar of 140 and an A1C of 6.7.  Not much separating you from diabetes, which is why diabetes is so common.

What are the mechanics behind sugar?  Sugar is gasoline for your body, assuming you drive a car with an internal combustion engine.  Once there is more than enough sugar in your blood, it will store it as glycogen.  Imagine filling up your gas tank, hitting the limit of your tank and the pump not turning off.  Where does all that gasoline go?  Where does the extra sugar go?  No place good.

How much glycogen can your body store?  One pound or about 2,000 calories worth.  Not a lot, but a lot when you consider your body needs only 0.08 ounces of sugar circulating to keep your “engine running”.

What does it do with the extra sugar once it has filled your body's glycogen storage capacity?  It converts all the extra sugar into fat.  And that is where the problem(s) lie.  Diabetes, Hypertension, Heart Disease, and so on.  Nothing good.  Similar to now standing by the side of your car with the gasoline pouring out of your totally filled gas tank as the pump continues to push more gasoline out.  It does not take much to get you into serious life altering trouble.  To set your body/life on fire.

So simply said, do not eat sugar in any form.  And stay away from complex carbohydrates too.  You get more than enough from the things you normally eat that don’t have processed sugar in them.  Every time you eat sugar, you are playing with fire.

Wishes for a great day to all,

Hugs too,

David/

Return to Your Babyhood Remember the good old days when you were a baby? When you never gave up, regardless of how many times you failed. What happened to those good old days? When you were learning how to walk, you fell down each and every time. On average 17 times per hour. Hundreds if not thousands of times. And what did you do? You got back up. Each and every time. No questions asked. Never taking failure as your final answer. And then, you succeeded. You never doubted yourself. You never overthought things. You never got in your way. If you are now doing these things, preventing yourself from succeeding, getting in your own way, doubting yourself, overthinking things, stop. You can do it. You have done it before. When you had far less capabilities and knowledge and support. Wishes for another great day, each one a gift, David/

Failure or Revelation? You never fail at anything, and that is the truth. What you are doing is revealing to yourself an area of improvement. It is important to realize this, because if you are not failing at something, you are not challenging yourself adequately. And if you are not challenging yourself, how do you make yourself a better person tomorrow than you are today? So please, fail at something often. Be a better person each and every day, because, Each day is a gift, David/
