Intent and Action
Your intent should always exceed your action.
Said another way, you should never act without [good] intention.
Do you ever do anything just for the sake of doing it?
Do you ever say, “I love you”, and not mean it? Just to placate someone?
And when you do that, how and what do you think the person you are saying it to is thinking about you? Promise you, nothing good at best.
Even when you are asked to do something. Do you mutter under your breath when someone asks you to do something, such as make your bed, take out the trash, do the dishes, or go to the supermarket? What is the end result of that? Nothing good at best, again. Now, try doing it with the intention of doing it because they are asking you to do something that will benefit them and or you in some way. With a smile on your face and or kindness in your heart. Because, perhaps one day you will ask the same of them, or even something different. How do you want them to approach your request? Your choice, because how you do it will be how they do it.
Now imagine a world where everyone acts with good intentions. It could happen, and that would require you and each one of us to take the lead on that. Remember, humans listen with their eyes:
